The Firmware Engineer III designs, develops, tests, and debugs embedded firmware for sensors, IR/RF remote controls, HVAC controls, and thermostats. The role works in an Agile cross-functional team, contributes to architecture and software design, develops production-quality code, supports product development and production processes, and mentors junior team members. It requires 7+ years of embedded real-time firmware development, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, and 40 hours of on-site work per week, with some travel possibly required.
