Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is hiring a Firmware Engineering Manager for its R&D Communications product group to lead embedded Linux firmware projects for Satellite Synchronized Network Clocks and Precise Time products. The role serves as a technical lead, manages and develops individual contributors, oversees project plans and documentation, coordinates product strategy and cross-discipline work, and applies SEL’s engineering and manufacturing principles. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least eight years of embedded Linux/RTOS firmware engineering or management experience using C/C++, and knowledge of networking, Ethernet, PTP, and IRIG-B. The position offers a base pay range of $136,000 to $201,000 per year and medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
