Lyft is hiring a Firmware Engineering Manager to lead firmware engineers developing embedded software for e-bikes, scooters, batteries, docks, and charging infrastructure. The role owns firmware architecture, OTA update and fleet operations strategy, NPI and fleet sustainability roadmaps, regulatory and safety certification, CI/CD, HIL testing, incident response, and team leadership. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 8 years of C/C++ embedded systems experience, and 2+ years managing firmware or embedded engineers. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office, with a San Francisco-area base salary of $176,000 to $220,000 plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
