Description

Coherent Corp. is hiring a senior embedded software and firmware engineer to develop C#/.NET/Qt applications and C/C++ firmware for laser controllers and embedded measurement devices. The role covers software and firmware architecture, design specifications, testing, board bring-up, hardware debugging, legacy product support, project estimation, and performance optimization. Candidates need 10+ years of .NET/C# and firmware development experience, embedded real-time control expertise, communications protocol knowledge, relevant development toolchains, WPF, Cyber Resilience Act implementation experience, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; MSEE preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 10 years of .NET and C# development experience.
At least 10 years of C/C++ firmware development for embedded microcontroller systems.
Experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging.
Experience reading schematics, using electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting circuits to signal level.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, PCI/PCIe, USB, and TCP/IP.
