Coherent Corp. is seeking a senior software and firmware engineer to develop next-generation applications and embedded firmware for laser controllers and measurement devices. The role combines C#/.NET/QT application programming with C/C++ firmware development for microcontroller-based systems, architecture and design specification, board bring-up, hardware/software debugging, test planning and execution, performance optimization, and legacy product support. Candidates should have 10+ years of .NET/C# and embedded firmware experience, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science, and expertise in real-time control, signal processing, data acquisition, metrology, embedded communications, development toolchains, WPF, and Cyber Resilience Act implementations.
