Description
The First Article Inspector works a second shift Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., inspecting products against manufacturing plans, customer specifications, and engineering drawings. The role uses sampling plans, mechanical and electrical instruments, CMM, functional gauges, test fixtures, SPC, and computerized inspection software to determine product acceptance, document nonconforming material, review product history, and prepare inspection records. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment are required; semiconductor or aerospace experience is preferred. Correctable eyesight to 20/25 and passing a color blindness test are also required.
