Description
Inland Fisheries Ireland is hiring a Fisheries Officer in Limerick to protect, manage, and conserve inland fisheries and sea angling resources. The role involves patrolling and surveillance, enforcing fisheries and water legislation, inspecting licence holders, issuing penalty notices, apprehending offenders, improving habitats and angling infrastructure, conducting research and electro-fishing, and supporting community initiatives. It is a predominantly outdoor, 39-hour-week role requiring weekends, evenings, early mornings, and late nights, with a specified purpose contract expected to last until the end of December 2027.
