Johnson Controls is hiring a Fitter Welder Apprentice at its San Antonio, Texas manufacturing plant. The role involves fit-up, fabrication, MIG welding, metalworking, blueprint and work-order interpretation, inspections, reporting, and participation in training and continuous-improvement activities. Applicants need at least six months of MIG alloy and steel welding experience, a high school diploma, GED, or certification, and successful completion of specified welding tests; welding technical school certification, Tig experience, and additional maintenance experience are preferred. The position is onsite and pays $21.50 per hour, with a competitive benefits package.
