Description
Google is hiring a Fleet Hardware Reliability Engineer to design and build hardware and software systems for its computing infrastructure, from concept through high-volume manufacturing. The role works with customers, data center, manufacturing, hardware, software, and vendor teams to analyze hardware quality issues, triage and root-cause reliability problems, lead fleet analysis and continuous improvement, and represent the Fleet Hardware Reliability team across design, deployment, and supply chain organizations. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or physics field or equivalent practical experience, six years of hardware quality experience in a data center or IT environment, three years of technical leadership experience, and experience with data center and enterprise hardware, design processes, and verification methodologies. Preferred qualifications include a PhD, executive leadership presentation experience, and cross-functional engineering, supply chain, and data center experience.
