Description
The role performs professional vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles, trucks, and construction off-road equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and sheet-metal systems; performing preventative maintenance, safety and emissions inspections, emergency roadside repairs, towing, road testing, and electronic repair-data entry. The position works under Fleet Mechanic Crew Leader and Fleet Supervisor supervision, may oversee helpers, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, four years of progressively responsible vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair experience, a valid Class A or Class B CDL, and a Class 7 Pennsylvania state inspection license.
