Description
The Waste Management Fleet Operational Management Trainee (FOMT) program is a 12-month training course designed to develop candidates into Fleet Manager roles. The role manages primary and secondary fleet equipment, maintenance activities, site personnel, safety, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational performance across an assigned geographic area. It combines office and field work, including frequent field assignments, travel, non-traditional schedules, and exposure to weather and collection equipment. Candidates must complete the FOMT curriculum and may need to relocate within Canada; the program prefers additional supervisory or leadership experience. The expected base pay is $95,000–$105,000, with bonus eligibility and medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other benefits.
