Description

The Municipality of Anchorage is hiring a Fleet Technician for its Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility at 325 East 94th Court. The role performs intermediate automotive and equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, light repairs, field emergency repairs, and documentation under the supervision of Journeyman Fleet Technicians. The schedule is 4–10s, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with possible emergency shifts. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, four years of relevant automotive or stationary-equipment experience, or a two-year certified apprenticeship/technical program plus two years of experience, along with a valid Alaska Class A commercial driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 120 days. The position is open to the general public and current municipal employees, and the municipality does not provide visa sponsorship.
