The Fleet Services Mechanic at Churchill County Department maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and overhauls automobiles, light- and heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and related vehicles and equipment. The role includes preventative maintenance, field and road service, electrical and communications repairs, parts ordering, cost estimating, recordkeeping, and occasional road maintenance. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, vehicle-maintenance coursework, and five years of general automotive and heavy-equipment repair and maintenance experience or an equivalent combination.
