Hennepin County's Public Works department is hiring a Fleet Technician for its Fleet Services division to maintain, repair, diagnose, and service a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including hybrid, electric, gas, diesel, emergency, construction, trailer, small-engine, and powersport equipment. The role is full-time, second-shift, and based at the Public Works Facility in Medina, Minnesota, with on-call availability after hours, weekends, and holidays. Candidates may be hired at the Fleet Technician Junior or Fleet Technician Senior level depending on education and experience, with annual salaries of $67,491.84–$84,202.03 for Junior and $75,905.82–$92,832.74 for Senior. The position requires relevant automotive or heavy-truck training and experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class B license or permit; ASE certifications, diagnostic-tool experience, Microsoft Office, welding, hydraulic-system, and fleet-maintenance-software experience are preferred.
