Description
The Critical Care Transport Paramedic provides critical care transport until a patient is transferred to an accepting medical facility, maintains electronic medical records and paramedic competency, and operates within the scope of practice approved by the Life Flight Medical Director and Pennsylvania Department of Health. The role includes maintaining medical command status, managing helicopter equipment and supplies, supporting the pilot, participating in preflight and postflight activities, and serving as a preceptor. It requires work in and around aircraft, exposure to hazardous conditions, the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and possible travel.
