Description
Grid.aero is hiring a Flight Physics Engineer to lead aerodynamic analysis and aircraft configuration for its Lifter UAS. The role covers sizing, loads, design trade studies, first-principles and advanced analysis, simulation, validation, tool-chain management, configuration control, and support through production and flight test. It requires a bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, substantial aircraft development experience, and 3–5 years of aerodynamic modeling experience; a master’s degree is a plus. The position is onsite four days per week in San Leandro, California, with compensation of $140,000–$180,000 plus 0.1–0.5% equity.
