The role maintains Lockheed Martin UK Rotary and Mission Systems Synthetic Training Equipment at RAF Cranwell and Barkston Heath, performing advanced fault isolation, repair, operational checks, preventive maintenance, technical analysis, troubleshooting, calibration, and documentation. It requires 2–3 years of flight-simulator or transferrable aircraft-engineering experience, electronics and test-equipment knowledge, soldering ability, flexible night and weekend shifts, and a Secret Security Clearance.
