Katalyst is hiring a Flight Software Engineer to own core flight software subsystems for spacecraft, including telemetry, command and sequencing, fault detection and recovery, hardware interfaces, and radios. The role requires writing memory-safe, thread-safe C++ and Python on Linux flight computers, taking code through verification and deployment, diagnosing anomalies, and mentoring engineers. It is an onsite full-time position in Broomfield, Colorado, with Engineer, Senior, or Principal-level hiring depending on experience, and requires a relevant bachelor's degree, US ITAR eligibility, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends. Compensation ranges from $105,000 to $250,000 base plus equity, with medical, vision, dental, and paid time off benefits.
