Description
Samara Aerospace is hiring a Flight Software Engineer to build the flight software service stack for its satellite systems, including spacecraft reliability, observability instrumentation, testing, bug fixing, product interfaces, and subsystems such as radio, data management, attitude control, and system safety. The role requires at least three years of experience building taskable software stacks, service-based architectures, software interfaces, Linux drivers, and the /dev interface, along with strong communication, collaboration, simplicity, and a learning mindset. Preferred qualifications include Docker, Rust or Python, MQTT and RPC, serialization technologies, spacecraft mission concepts, and attitude determination and control. The position offers an annual starting salary of $140,000–$160,000, equity, full medical, vision, dental, and life insurance coverage, and other benefits.
