Description

Muon is hiring a full-time, on-site Flight Software Intern for its Software Engineering team in Mountain View or San Jose, California. The intern will develop spacecraft software or supporting development and test tools, propose software designs, write automated tests, validate work through simulation or hardware testing, debug software and hardware interactions, participate in code reviews, and document work. The role offers mentorship and hands-on experience with spacecraft software, hardware, simulations, and testing tools. Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or a similar language, along with coursework or practical experience in data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals, is required; previous internship or co-op experience, technical project-team experience, physics and orbital mechanics knowledge, hardware experience, and exposure to operating systems, real-time software, communication protocols, or simulation are preferred. Pay is $40 per hour for bachelor's students, $45 per hour for master's students, and $50 per hour for PhD students.
