HRL Laboratories is hiring a Focal Plane Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of infrared focal plane arrays. The role develops semiconductor processes and integration schemes, manages manufacturing plans, optimizes yield and cost, performs failure and root-cause analysis, supports mask design and vendor activities, and serves as a technical interface to customers and program stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field, at least five years of fabrication process experience, cleanroom semiconductor experience, and familiarity with statistical process control and design of experiments. The role is based in California and offers a salary range of $140,700 to $175,950 plus medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
