Description
The Folder Operator sets up and operates folding equipment to produce standard and complex folds on paper stock, including PI folds and difficult stock. The role involves reviewing job specifications, communicating with team members, presetting guides and rollers, loading and jogging paper, adjusting machines, maintaining quality and speed, recording output and costs, tagging material, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping the work area organized. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of folder mechanics, basic math, analytical and computer skills, and the ability to direct crew members; physical work includes pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive manual movements.
