Catholic Charities is hiring a Food Pantry Assistant to oversee smaller pantry operations and support the Food Pantry Coordinator at larger pantries throughout Greater Boston. The role manages food inventory, donations, ordering, transport preparation, client registration, data entry, food distribution, and pantry safety; it also involves driving a van or truck, supporting volunteers, and occasionally traveling to other sites. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent training, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, at least five years of driving experience, and the ability to lift 65 pounds and operate material-handling equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend or evening work, and the role is 37.5 hours per week.
