Description
Ada County is hiring a Forensic Administration and Transcription Specialist to provide specialized administrative and transcription support to forensic pathologists and the Forensic and Investigative Divisions. The role transcribes medical and legal reports, maintains medicolegal records, coordinates with government and legal agencies, documents chain of evidence, troubleshoots transcription equipment, and may serve as a Notary Public of Idaho. The Specialist I performs direct support and transcription duties; the Specialist II also trains Specialist I staff and oversees caseload accuracy, communication, scheduling, and pathology service agreements. The position pays $24.61–$26.61 per hour, DOE, and requires an associate's degree in a related field, medical transcription experience, forensic pathology knowledge, computer and transcription skills, and eligibility for a background check.
