The Autopsy Technician assists the Autopsy Chief Tech and forensic pathologist with body intake, release, processing, evidence collection, autopsy preparation, specimen handling, morgue maintenance, records, and administrative functions. The role requires an associate's degree in medical sciences or equivalent education and experience, a valid Texas driver's license, and the ability to work in a morgue environment, handle biohazardous materials, and perform physically demanding tasks. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with a Monday-Friday schedule and occasional holiday and weekend work.
