Description
The Forensic Investigator responds to death scenes, documents and recovers human remains, collects and preserves physical and biological evidence, directs decedent transport staff, notifies families and law enforcement, prepares reports, coordinates with forensic transporters, and may testify in court. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a Texas driver's license, knowledge of crime-scene investigation and human anatomy, and the ability to perform physically demanding work. Experience in a medical examiner's office and exposure to human remains are preferred, while the position is subject to a criminal background check and drug screening.
