The Forensic Scientist performs toxicology testing on blood, urine, and other specimens using instrumental and manual laboratory methods. The role includes preparing and verifying reagents, calibrating and maintaining equipment, recording quality-control values, documenting temperature checks, completing continuing education and competency checks, and following laboratory procedures and supervisor direction. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant laboratory or science field and strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills.
