Description

GuidePoint Security is hiring a mid-level Forescout Cyber Security Engineer to deploy, maintain, and operate ForeScout CounterACT appliances and related cybersecurity solutions for government and commercial clients. The role includes network engineering, virtualized multi-domain architecture support, vulnerability assessment, and countermeasure development. It requires TS/SCI clearance, extensive IT systems and project experience, and specified DoD 8570 certifications, with 100% onsite support in Reston, Virginia or Washington, D.C.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED with 7+ years of IT project experience, or an associate’s degree with 5+ years, a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years, or a master’s degree with 1+ year of IT project experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of Windows or Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring, and security upgrades.
7+ years supporting IT projects and activities for the high school diploma or GED path.
5+ years supporting IT projects and activities for the associate’s degree path.
3+ years supporting IT projects and activities for the bachelor’s degree path.
1+ year supporting IT projects and activities for the master’s degree path.
Preferred Qualifications: ForeScout Certified Administrator or ForeScout Certified Engineer certification.
Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, frameworks, authorizations, assessments, and risk management.
Ability to install and deploy ForeScout in a multidomain customer environment.
Ability to integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom data aggregation and analysis tools, including Splunk.
Ability to support Tier II IT operations and maintenance, including ticket updates, issue responses, and remediation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination and customer relations.
