Description
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is hiring seasonal, temporary, full-time Forestry Technicians for its Phantom Canyon Crew during the 2027 fire season, from April 2027 through October 2027. The role works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with possible additional hours, weekends, and holidays, and pays $26.14 per hour. Duties include wildland fire suppression, fire-line construction, chainsaw cutting, equipment operation and maintenance, safety compliance, and possible fire prevention, patrol, detection, or prescribed-burning assignments. Applicants must meet specified NWCG and FEMA training, First Aid and CPR, work-capacity, driver's-license, residency, and background-eligibility requirements.
