Description
The Forklift Operator loads, unloads, stages, scans, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and dollies; coordinates dock and workflow activities; documents freight; identifies damaged or unsafe conditions; and supports material handlers through mentoring and onboarding. The position pays $19.25 per hour and runs Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. It requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, equipment operation, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment.
