Description
The Forklift Operator loads, unloads, stages, scans, documents, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and dollies, and may assist with shipping preparation, dock coordination, problem resolution, and mentoring Material Handlers. It pays $23.00 per hour and offers Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The position requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, scanning and computer-system skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment.
