Description
The Forklift Operator loads, unloads, stages, scans, tracks, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment; coordinates dock and workflow activities; documents freight; identifies damaged or unsafe conditions; and supports training and mentoring of Material Handlers. The position requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, computer and scanner skills, regular attendance, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. Pay is $24.00 per hour on weekdays, with weekend and night-shift differentials.
