Description
The Freight Handler (Forklift Operator) loads, unloads, stages, scans, tracks, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment; coordinates dock and workflow activities; documents freight; identifies damaged or unsafe conditions; and mentors Material Handlers. It pays $20 per hour and runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with additional nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The position requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, scanning and computer-system skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment.
