Description
The Freight Handler (Forklift Operator) loads, unloads, stages, scans, tracks, and moves freight in a multimodal transportation terminal, intermodal yard, warehouse, or dock environment. The role uses forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment; coordinates dock and workflow activities; documents freight; identifies damaged or unsafe conditions; and mentors Material Handlers. It requires forklift certification, at least three years of dock or warehouse experience, English communication, basic arithmetic, computer and scanner skills, regular attendance, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. Four schedules are listed, including day, night, and weekend shifts, with base pay of $20.87 per hour.
