Description
Icarus is hiring a Formula SAE engineer to design, build, test, integrate, and fly lightweight, high-reliability structures and mechanical subsystems for stratospheric aircraft. The role requires hands-on hardware work, rapid iteration, field troubleshooting, and collaboration with avionics, GNC, power, RF, and software teams. Candidates should have Formula SAE experience, real hardware-building experience, and strong mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or systems instincts; recent graduates or exceptional students are also welcome. The position is based at Icarus’ El Segundo factory, offers health, dental, and vision insurance, and lists a US salary range of $100,000 to $160,000.
