ICEYE is hiring a Forward Deployed Backend/DevOps Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal, to deploy and operate its intelligence platform in secure, often air-gapped customer environments. The role combines backend engineering with DevOps, including Python and Go services, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and offline infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing high-performance APIs and data pipelines, troubleshooting production systems, hardening deployments, supporting AI workloads, and working embedded with intelligence analysts and customer IT teams. The position requires at least five years of production backend experience, security-clearance eligibility, native-level language ability in the deployment country, and 40–60% travel to customer sites.
