Description
Layer Health is hiring its first Forward Deploy Data Scientist to work with health systems, hospital IT and data teams, and internal engineering, product, and customer success teams. The role focuses on translating complex healthcare data into actionable insights and machine-learning-ready pipelines; validating and transforming structured and unstructured datasets; deploying ML and LLM models and analytics pipelines; analyzing user engagement; communicating findings to technical, product, and clinical stakeholders; and creating reusable implementation playbooks. The position requires 2–3 years of data science experience, strong Python and ML/NLP library skills, familiarity with MLOps tools and applied LLM techniques, strong data-wrangling and communication abilities, and hybrid work in Boston or New York City 2–3 days per week.
