The Forward Deployed Data Scientist will work for a defense technology firm focused on national security, developing and deploying scalable AI solutions, agentic systems, and production-grade code to solve complex defense acquisition challenges. The role involves rapid prototyping, client engagement, translating mission needs into technical requirements, measuring AI impact, and collaborating with AI platform and data engineering teams. It is full-time, based in Arlington, Virginia; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; or remotely, with up to 75% travel, and offers $140,000–$175,000 plus up to a 30% bonus and equity.
