Description
Kong is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its Professional Services organization and support government and public-sector customers. The role partners with enterprise customers to design, implement, automate, migrate, and modernize API and AI connectivity solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. Responsibilities include hands-on implementation, automation and migration tooling, production-grade code, Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, customer collaboration, and influencing product direction. The position requires at least eight years of customer-facing engineering or related experience, strong software engineering and platform engineering skills, and expertise with API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud providers, automation, and programming languages.
