Description

Talkdesk is hiring a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical architecture and delivery for its most complex global enterprise deployments of an Agentic AI platform. The role combines enterprise systems architecture, production software engineering, solution consulting, reusable agent and integration tooling, and mentorship of the FDE organization. Candidates need extensive software engineering and systems architecture experience, including cloud AI/ML/Agentic solutions, enterprise integrations, and executive-level technical leadership. The position offers a base salary of $230,000–$275,000, equity and bonus or commission incentives, and medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technical solutions engineering
3+ years focused on cloud services architecting and deploying complex AI/ML/Agentic solutions in production
Experience leading client-side architecture and integration for large IT environments
Experience designing and orchestrating multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, planning algorithms, memory structures, and tool-use frameworks
Experience driving technical consensus with C-suite executives and VP-level engineering leadership
Preferred Qualifications: Deep expertise with RAG architecture, vector databases, and LLM evaluation frameworks
Specialized domain expertise in enterprise verticals
Healthcare systems experience
Retail and e-commerce systems experience
Contact center, unified communications, or customer experience experience
Open-source AI contributions or public technical thought leadership
