Google is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Applied AI to serve as an Agent Engineer and delivery lead for conversational AI pilots. The role transforms initial prototypes into production-ready solutions, owns the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, and is responsible for agentic workloads, customer journeys, infrastructure, security, monitoring, alerting, and RAG optimization. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, two years of software development experience, two years of GenAI experience, one year of AI/ML infrastructure experience, and experience deploying multilingual natural language processing models. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, agent logic debugging, multi-agent frameworks, and enterprise knowledge-base integration. The role is based in Zürich, Switzerland or London, United Kingdom, and typically requires in-person interviews.
