Description

VESSL AI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to support GPU infrastructure customers through technical validation, PoCs, onboarding, workload migration, troubleshooting, and platform diagnostics. The role combines customer-facing technical work with infrastructure automation, Linux troubleshooting, Python or Go production coding, and collaboration with SWE/SRE and product teams. It is a full-time position with a three-month probationary contract, followed by a performance-based employment decision.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of customer-facing technical work experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical support, customer success, or forward-deployed engineering
Experience writing production code in Python, Go, or a similar language
Preferred Qualifications: Experience taking full responsibility for resolving technical problems in customer environments
Experience using AI coding tools or agents to automate repetitive work and measure impact
Experience tuning inference engines such as vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT-LLM in production
Experience operating high-performance networks such as InfiniBand and RoCE
Experience operating parallel file systems such as Lustre, VAST, and WEKA
