Description

Telnyx is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise customers and build, deploy, and troubleshoot production communications systems involving voice, messaging, AI, APIs, WebRTC, and wireless technologies. The role leads POCs and production launches, owns customer outcomes through go-live, collaborates with Product and Engineering, and creates technical documentation. It requires a CS degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of software or technical consulting experience, proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go, API and cloud-native skills, and exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice or messaging systems. The position includes 10–30% travel to customer sites.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of software development or technical consulting experience
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI voice assistants, speech-to-text, or LLM-based conversational systems
SQL proficiency with Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle
ETL and data wrangling experience
DevOps fundamentals involving Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
Background in telecommunications, CPaaS, or high-growth SaaS
