Description

Virtuos is hiring a Forward-Deployed Software Engineer for its AI for Engineering team to build, customize, integrate, and deploy AI-powered developer tools and AI agents. The role evaluates open-source tools, hardens and secures them, builds CI/CD pipelines, delivers signed application binaries, monitors reliability, and collaborates with InfoSec, DevOps, platform engineering, and developer experience teams. It requires at least three years of software engineering experience and proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or C++, along with experience integrating LLMs, AI coding assistants, agent frameworks, APIs, authentication, and observability tools.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of software engineering experience building, integrating, and supporting applications or developer tools
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, AI coding assistants, or agent frameworks
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, application packaging, and release management
Experience integrating APIs and enterprise authentication, including SSO, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and session management
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability, and troubleshooting application, integration, and network issues
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI-assisted development and automated code generation workflows
Experience developing AI agents or LLM-powered applications
Familiarity with code signing, application packaging, and enterprise software distribution
Experience developing Electron applications, VS Code extensions, or other desktop developer tools
Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration tools
Experience in game development, game tooling, or creative technology
Familiarity with Perforce and GitLab in enterprise development environments
