Hedge is hiring a founding engineer to build and scale AI agents and infrastructure that automate insurance placement, carrier coordination, data processing, and failure recovery. The role owns architecture, data models, background jobs, integrations, monitoring, reliability, and production evaluation, while working closely with founders, brokers, and more than 100 insurance market partnerships. The position is based in San Francisco, requires substantial technical ownership and initiative, and offers a $150,000–$250,000 base salary plus 1%–3% equity and health benefits.
