Description
The founding ML Engineer will own the machine learning function at an early-stage AI startup, building post-training data pipelines, evaluation frameworks, agent environments, tool interfaces, observability systems, and replay infrastructure. The role also involves setting ML roadmap priorities, hiring decisions, and leading the ML team as the company grows. It requires at least three years of production ML systems experience, strong Python and systems programming skills, and expertise in trajectory data, reward modeling, agent decision-making, and reinforcement learning. The primary location is Munich, Germany, with additional offices in Zurich and San Francisco; the role is on-site, with remote arrangements potentially discussed on a case-by-case basis.
