Description
Kong is hiring a founding member of a zero-to-one engineering squad to architect and scale machine-to-machine commerce infrastructure. The role owns the marketplace loop, agent-to-API and agent-to-agent transaction systems, REST API substrate, MCP server capabilities, identity verification, metering, billing, settlement, and developer onboarding. It requires 7+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, expertise in a modern backend stack such as Golang, distributed systems, Kubernetes, cloud-native patterns, autonomous agent applications, and multi-tenant or usage-based metering architectures. The position is remote and prefers West Coast/Bay Area alignment.
