The Center for AI Safety is hiring a Founding Recruiter to build its talent function from scratch in San Francisco. The role owns full-cycle recruiting across research, engineering, policy, and operations, including sourcing, screening, interview design, recruiting infrastructure, stakeholder partnership, employer branding, offer closing, and workflow automation. The position is an autonomous individual-contributor role requiring experience building recruiting functions, closing hard-to-fill technical candidates, using ATS, sourcing, and AI tools, and strong prioritization and communication skills. It is full-time and in-office for local candidates, with a base salary of $145,000–$185,000 and health insurance benefits.
