Description
Odyssey is hiring a Founding Security Engineer to own the security posture of its ESA and school choice programs. The role covers application and cloud security, vulnerability assessments, SOC 2 Type II program management, security controls, AI-assisted threat detection and vulnerability analysis, and embedding security into developer workflows. It requires 6+ years of software engineering experience across application, cloud, DevOps, network, or similar security domains, along with hands-on experience with compliance frameworks, SAST/DAST/SCA tools, penetration testing, and security project delivery. The position is available fully remotely for United States-based candidates or hybrid from the Tribeca, New York office, with a salary of $180,000–$220,000 plus equity and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
