The Founding Software Engineer will join the founding team in New York City to build an AI-powered mobile application for police officers, including voice, photo, and note processing, a laptop report agent, and secure infrastructure. The role involves scouting AI development tools, improving workflows and testing, working with customers in Louisville and beyond, evolving engineering practices, debugging production issues, and documenting technical decisions. It is an apprenticeship-style position requiring modern AI coding fluency, computer science fundamentals, strong communication, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity; production experience is not required.
